What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent makeup imitates perfectly applied cosmetics, with natural-looking results that can be as subtle or as dramatic as you want.

The effect is achieved in by infusing hypo-allergenic specialist pigments into the dermal layer of your skin, where they remain all day, every day.

The results fade gradually over 2-3 years, with a “colour boost” recommended 12-18 months after the initial application – to maintain a fresh appearance.

Discover a world with hassle free natural results from my permanent cosmetic makeup.

You can be assured – I have a commitment to excellence when it comes to the level of enhancements that I provide.

Who Benefits From Permanent Make-up?

Everyone who wants to look the best they can as naturally as possible. Think how convenient it would be to have perfectly shaped eyebrows, pretty eyes and beautifully contoured lips, without the effort of time-consuming day in – day out makeup rituals. All subtle, soft and perfectly in place with no smudging, no mess, no problems. Permanent Make-up can do what no ordinary makeover can achieve. It guarantees you perfect makeup, day or night whilst making the very best of your features by correcting, balancing, harmonising and, for older women, it really can put the clock back.Whatever your age permanent make-up gives you a special kind of confidence, knowing you look the best you can look 24 hours a day.

Are permanent cosmetics a form of tattooing?

Permanent cosmetic enhancement – also known as semi permanent make-up and micro-pigmentation – is an advanced form of tattooing, however I do not infuse the pigment as deeply in the skin and therefore the enhancement will not have the permanency of a conventional tattoo.

The pigments we use replicate the colour choices available with conventional cosmetics enabling Polly to achieve subtle translucent results.

Is the procedure safe?

Polly follows a code of practice that ensures a safe treatment.

I choose to work only with hypoallergenic pigments that meet European medical standards and perform an allergy test before the treatment commences.

I also use the highest quality sterile needles, which are disposed of immediately after the treatment is completed.

Will it hurt?

I use effective numbing agents to minimise discomfort. The discomfort felt can be likened to that associated with tweezing eyebrows.

How long will my look last?

Permanent cosmetic enhancement can last for many years dependent on many variables. Softer neutral enhancements tend to fade faster normally requiring a colour boost every 12 months to maintain their fresh appearance.

What will I look like immediately after my procedure?

The colour will appear a darker shade than the desired result for up to 1 week after treatment and mild redness and swelling may be apparent for a few days.
